Elevate Umbrella is a new umbrella company formed in early 2019, underpinned by a fundamental desire to provide temporary recruiters and their workers with a competitively priced payroll service allied to exceptional levels of customer care. Based in Swindon, Wiltshire, the company targets both local and national clients and specialises in a variety of sectors including construction, healthcare, logistics, legal and industrial. Accordingly, they offer a range of payroll options including traditional Umbrella, CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) and Joint Employment.
Choosing a proven software product to run a company’s payroll is a challenging prospect for established businesses, let alone start-ups. Thankfully, the team running Elevate Umbrella are vastly experienced in the umbrella market and had a clear idea of what they wanted their software to achieve from the outset. They duly “shopped around” and were surprised at the varying pricing models of other products which often included large upfront fees and ongoing commissions.
Equally important and central to their company ethos, was providing mechanisms to both agency staff and contractors which minimises any administrative burden and enable seamless communication between each entity. Solutio’s dynamic web-based portals and state-of-the-art worker app achieve both objectives and contributed significantly to Elevate’s decision to choose the ‘Powered by Solutio’ platform.
The implementation process was particularly smooth and included training for the Elevate team. Managed by Chris Cotton, Solutio’s Implementation Lead and supported by Sophie Law from the Customer Success team, Elevate were actively using Solutio within just three weeks. Their workers “love the app” as it negates the need for them to phone the Elevate team which has already proved to be a massive “time saver”. Equally, Solutio’s cloud-based desktop portal is proving invaluable in helping the payroll team manage their workers’ payroll quickly and efficiently.
Solutio is now integral to Elevate’s commercial proposition and is proving to be an invaluable unique selling point as they continue to promote and grow their business.
