Despite the ravages of COVID-19, Solutio has enjoyed a successful year and cemented its position within the fabric of the umbrella payroll and temporary recruitment sectors. A raft of new clients is benefitting from Solutio’s unique ability to synchronise data, calculations and transactions throughout the contractor supply chain, which has transformed their payroll operationss.

As ever, the success of new technologies is largely dependent upon their ability to solve a particular problem at any given moment. This simplistic rationale rings true when one considers the almost instantaneous realisation that only cloud and app-based software could cope with the ‘sledgehammer’ impact of the pandemic upon the recruitment sector.

The folly of storing business-critical data in a single location and on non-transferable platforms was cruelly exposed as payroll teams and recruitment consultants were forced to work from home. The ensuing chaos rendered these legacy systems as redundant as a VHS video recorder at a stroke and proved to be the catalyst for a surge of interest in Solutio.

A wave of new enquiries coincided with our successful entry into the Contracting Awards 2020 which was held online in early November. Winning the Best Accounting or Payroll Software category was a wonderful surprise and provided a fillip to the teams in both the UK and Asia. Quite apart from raising Solutio’s brand profile to a new level, winning this award validated the company’s vision and the endeavours of the staff who have worked tirelessly to perfect our commercial proposition.

Few will bemoan 2020 drifting into history, but Solutio can reflect on the year with a degree of satisfaction. Opportunities abound in the New Year, and we look forward to accelerating our journey in 2021; in the meantime, our Christmas office opening hours are as follows:
